PrintWeek - May 1998"BUSINESS CARDS GO ON-LINE AT NEW FIRM"
By Anthony Clark An on-line business card ordering system has been introduced by Card Corporation, an off-shoot of London based print and marketing consultancy Ivor Solution. The system is based around a Website which allows Card Corporation account holders to re-order ar amend customer-specific designs and templates. Varying levels of password protection are available to limit employee access to certain parameters. For example, a company's sales staff could be restricted to re-ordering set quantities of their cards, with the ability to amend only certain details such as telephone numbers. Once a valid order has been placed it is automatically batched ready for printing. Jobs are then sent via ISDN to an appropriate printer depending on the type of output required. The minimum order is 100 cards and orders placed before noon are despatched the following day. Future plans include the launch of an on-line design-it-yourself stationery service aimed at small businesses. |
