Leeds-based digital prepress and print production specialist Grasmere Digital Imaging launched an innovative trade service at Northprint. Called Card Corporation, the service combines fully-automated, on-demand digital print production with advanced electronic commerce technology, offering printers cost-effective on-line print ordering, initially for business cards. The service will be extended to offer short-run business stationery and personalised products later in the year.
Card Corporation delivers three services designed to meet a range of trade requirements.
- Card Corporation Trade Counter (XpressNet). Printers enter the Card Corporation website to place business card trade orders. Layout are compressed and sent to Grasmere via password protected pages on the site. Next-day despatch by first class post is standard for all orders.

Card Corporation Interactive (Corporate CardNet). An enhancement for printers with corporate customers requiring repeat orders for business cards. It provides an on-line card template, designed to specified corporate style, which can be edited directly via the website.

Card Corporation 'Own Brand' license. A full-feature e-commerce package, comprising a Card Coporation website completely customised with the licensee's corporate branding. In addition to interactive templates and on-line ordering, the package includes a 'D-I-Y' card design application.
